Sunday Recap – October 16, 2011

Contemporary Services/Cafe Connection Services

We not only had a great morning of worship at Bethel, we had a wonderful weekend of worship!!  The team did a super job on these songs this morning, but we were all a bit tired.  Saturday night we had worship leader/songwriter Jared Anderson  and his band here at Bethel to lead us in a night of worship and prayer. It was amazing! We were one of the stops on his “Hear Us From Heaven” tour. You probably know who Jared Anderson is, but if not, he wrote songs like “Rescue”, “Amazed” and a powerful new worship song called “Great I Am”!  It was a wonderful experience, and I’ll probably end up writing a whole separate post all about it.  But, we didn’t get home from church until around 11:45 pm Saturday night, after resetting the stage for our team.  You can watch the video of this service and see the  Planning Center details.

Traditional Service

  • I Will Sing the Wondrous Story
  • Holy God, We Praise Thy Name
  • Glorious Is Thy Name
  • Jesus Is Lord of All
  • Wherever He Leads, I’ll Go
Randy led the team in here, since I led in the Cafe this morning.  Pastor Tim’s message was on the topic of submission from Romans 13.  Tough subject, but great message!  You can watch the video of this service and also see the Planning Center details.
This post is part of the Sunday Setlist blog carnival over at The Worship Community, where you can read recaps and setlists from other worship leaders.
