Sunday Recap – 11-29-09

Our team did such a great job yesterday at our worship services! But, I just wish the flow of our services yesterday would have been better.  Looking back, I realize now that there was just too much to try to do in one service and have it work. It was just one of those weeks…

We started with:
“Our God Saves” (Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown)
“Only A God Like You” (Tommy Walker)

Then, after the message, we had planned to do:
“None But Jesus” (Brooke Fraser) (1st time for us here)
“From the Inside Out” (Joel Houston)
“Everday” (Joel Houston)

But, “From the Inside Out” ended up getting cut in both services.  In addition to our regular songs and message, we also had 4 baby dedications (13 minutes) in one service, and 6 (15 minutes) in the next. So, our service order ended up looking nothing like what had been planned.

I would love to hear how you at other churches handle baby dedications in your services?  Do you have a special service just for that, or do you have them in the service? Do you dedicate several children all at once, or each one individually?
