Sunday Recap – December 12, 2010 – “Back To The Manger”

For the first time this morning, we performed our children’s Christmas musical on a Sunday morning, and not just on a Sunday night. So, my morning today was quite different than normal. We almost didn’t have church this morning!! Here in Wisconsin, we had a huge blizzard last night and today. It was a hard decision, given the forecast, but we decided to keep church on for today, and I’m glad we did!

We presented “Back To The Manger’, a kid’s Christmas musical by Christy Semsen (WORD Music). It’s a great musical about some kids who use a time machine to experience a Christmas Outreach that takes place across a variety of decades, and ultimately back to the manger.  The music from each decade was so fun, and the kids did such a good job! I was part of the leadership team, teaching the kids the music, while others taught the drama and choreography.

If you’d like to see our performance, you can watch the video of one of our services this morning.  A huge thanks to the tech team who made this possible, and the great job they did on the cameras!

This post is part of the “Sunday Setlists” at The Worship Community where you can read other  recaps of  Sunday services.    I hope your morning went well! Merry Christmas!
